In the Aloha state, there are several restrictions. In addition to the usual restriction that no person under the age of 18 shall be tattooed without the written consent of parents or guardian, there are other restrictions. It is unlawful to tattoo any person who is under the influence of intoxicating substances, including, but not limited to alcohol, drugs, paints and glues. In addition no person with any disease in a communicable for or suspected of having such a disease shall engage in tattooing.
