Tattoo Laws Arizona

If you are a minor in Arizona – we have good news if you want a tattoo.

Under Arizona’s Tattooing law, persons between the age of 14 and 17 (up until their 18th birthday) may receive a tattoo as long the person’s parent or legal guardian is present when the procedure takes place.

Furthermore, the needle must be sterilized or autoclaved and if any anesthesia is to be used, the person doing so must be licensed in accordance with state law.

Tattoo artists have to be licensed and must operate in a licensed commercial facility and not in their home.
